ASPECC.ca, as part of their program to destigmatize pleasure and support sexual empowerment for folks with vulvas, hosted an orgasm fundraiser. Folks volunteered to collect pledges, and participated in various ways, from recording the sound of their orgasm to participating in the privacy booths at the gala itself.
It was incredible. Dozens of folks came out to support shame free pleasure, and every one was super respectful. The event included an orientation with clear beahviour expectations laid out, so that may have helped.

Like anything to do with sex, BDSM is often portrayed in strange ways in media. Tonight we are joined by Veronica, a Marketing and Funds Development Specialist, as we discuss the ways in which representation is often lacking or stereotyped and some of our favourite shows for pushing that line.
The way we view consent has changed to a view that consent should be obtained explicitly before sexual touch occurs. Some folks have been expressing growing concern over what these changes will mean for them. Today we are discussing the changes to consent in social norms, and the push back against those changes.
