We had the pleasure of offering a sexual education discussions for a group of queer youth, and their questions made it clear that our current sexual education in school is not meeting the needs of queer youth.
Everyone’s journey is different! Today we are sharing some of our exploits, learning curves etc.

At ASPECC we introduce ourselves with our pronouns (I am Angel, I use she/her pronouns), particularly if we are cisgender (a term that refers to identifying as the same gender you were assigned at birth.). This podcast we are talking about our policies here, about creating a space that is safe(r) and some of the nuances around gender.
Let’s get down to business and talk about predators, folks who actively seek out those who are vulnerable to abuse, in communities that are supposed to be a safe haven to explore sexuality and / or kink.
Talking about sex can be tricky, particularly for those of us who are still struggling with the residual effects of shame and fear about sexuality and pleasure. Let’s look at some frameworks we can use to help ourselves and our partners talk about sex in a way that ensures that we are being consensual.
