Welcome to Module 4: Reproduction
This module covers reproductive sexual health. The units are as follows:
Unit 1 Anatomy: Learners will explore reproductive anatomy and be provided with some strategies and tools for teaching anatomy to different age/comprehension levels. At the end of this unit, learners should be able to name the various parts of reproductive anatomy, identify those parts on real-life pictures and on medical drawings, and understand the purpose and function of the parts of the reproductive systems for all genders.
Unit 2 Reproduction: This unit will provide information on the creation of human life, from fertilization to birth. Tools for teaching this process in an age-appropriate manner are included, as are teaching resources.
Unit 3 Contraception: This unit provides a shame-free look at the various ways to prevent pregnancy, with some discussion on the overlap between pregnancy prevention and STI prevention. The focus is on how pregnancy can occur, what medications, tools, and devices are available to prevent pregnancy, and what options are available in the event of an unplanned pregnancy.
