    • Healthy Relationships Disccusion 1
      The friendship model is aimed at youth under 12 (according to the Canadian sex ed / health curriculum). ASPECC posits that this should be more for pre-k to grade 3, with deeper conversations around emotions and emotional regulation for grades 4-6.What are your thoughts on this?  Is there anything else you think should be added to the general curriculum regarding friendship skills?

      Consider that these modules require that the adolescent/youth has a basic understanding of communication skills, boundaries, and abuse.  Was this on par with what you learned about healthy relationships at this age?Many classes only engage in discussions and worksheets.  Why do you think ASPECC argues for role-play instead of worksheets?

      Question 1: How did you learn about puberty?  What were the pros and cons of how you learned?Question 2: Many people talk about puberty and adolescence as if it is a terrible time.  Is it?  Do you think that is the cultural norm?
