About me: I work at an adult store and am working towards a bachelors in sociology. I want to become a sex educator and acquire multiple certifications as well as attend workshops and training sessions centered around sex and sexuality. Becoming a clinical sexologist and owning my own adult store is the ultimate goal! I’m also exploring creating a blog and youtube channel where I discuss topics from sex toys to vulva/vaginal health to pleasure! This is my first workshop with ASPECC and I am so excited to do more!

About me: I am queer and have always had an interest in human sexuality. I have previous work experience working in adult stores, and would ultimately like a career that allows me to stay up to date on information about sexuality, as well as to help other people feel more comfortable with the topic.

Isn’t it interesting how many sex positive people end up working in adult stores? I love that being educated on sex and sexuality are a huge part of the industry now.If folk are interested, Sexy Living (a distributer) is hosting sex toy education videos both in webinars and then later in video on demand. I assume your stores have accounts with them, as they are (in my experience) a joy to work with.
If not I can introduce ya!

About me: I have been in the “romance industry” via the home party plan for almost 20 years. My biz partner and I, decided to go into business for ourselves. During the research stage we discovered that our community did not support adult stores. We also discovered the majority of sexual health resources were no longer available and sex education in schools is almost non existent. We decided to modify our business plan and try to be part of the solution. We are currently operating online, but are looking for a storefront for lingerie, bath & beauty, sexual wellness with an adult section. Our ideal space would also be able to host workshops and presentations on sexual health and wellness. Through our journey, I met Angel and decided this is a perfect fit for helping to update our knowledge and achieve our goals of helping to normalize women’s sexuality, reduce negative stigmas concerning sex and sexual orientation, be sex positive and inclusive to everyone’s sexual health and wellness needs.

About me: I’m currently a psychology student working toward my BA. I plan on taking Master’s in counseling and art therapy down the road. I’m passionate about sex education, especially from a trauma informed perspective.
I feel like it’s incredibly important to have more queer educators out there. We need to show others that we are just people, and that there is a whole spectrum of gender and sexuality to explore.

About me: I was a high school music teacher, and now I’m going to be teaching sex ed. I’m neurodivergent, anishinaabekwe, queer, and just want to help people learn more about themselves and their boundaries. My goal is to teach about healthy boundaries, what they look like, how to communicate them, and that it’s ok to be rejected because of said boundaries. I also aim to teach risk reduction. Teens are going to have sex, I can at least teach them to use condoms, or even other things you can do that don’t involve pregnancy risks – or less of it. I know I have lots to learn too, so I’m starting here.
