Why you should Sponsor us

At ASPECC we not only welcome persons of all sexualities, races, body types, genders, abilities, religions and cultures (and any other label you might wonder about), we will uphold the right of all members to be treated with dignity, respect and decency.

By giving us your sponsorship, you will be showing that your company, organization, or group supports those with less privilege. You will be directly contributing to an organization that allows everyone to be themselves. We pride ourselves in being a safe(r) space for all individuals. This allows for growth, healing, and connections to be made, allowing individuals to be productive and happy members of society.

ASPECC also locates Sex Positive Resources for individuals from all walks of life. These resources are available on our website as links and cover everything from sex, to parenting, to drugs. By finding, updating, and hosting this list of resources, we give the people of Edmonton an easily accessible way of getting the help and support they need to be positive influences on the community.

However, nothing is free. ASPECC is run by volunteers who put countless hours into hosting and planning events, workshops, and support for the community. We run adult events and workshops during the week so that we can host youth events and workshops on weekends. Any contribution, no matter how small, goes towards paying our lease, our utilities, and our very overworked programs administrator.

About Us

ASPECC is a non-profit corporation that relies on grants, sponsorship and donations. We are governed by an organizational board which consists of individuals who are nominated and elected to their position on the board. Our mission is to promote sex positive values and attitudes in the Greater Edmonton area,  and to facilitate sex positive education and awareness in our community.

Sex Positive

Sex positive is a term to reflect a set of values, beliefs and attitudes regarding sexual activity as a healthy, pleasurable form of human expression.  At ASPECC we promote and embrace consensual sexuality in all it’s diversity.  Active consent plays an integral role in our sex positivity and is strictly required to be utilized at the centre.

Sexuality is a very diverse topic that includes the type of people we are attracted to, the types of activities that bring us sexual pleasure, and the freedom to celebrate our sexuality in ways that are meaningful to us.  At ASPECC we are always seeking ways to help others find comfort with their own sexuality and to learn and accept the sexuality of others.
